Camilla Al Fayed
In September 2011, Camilla Al Fayed acquired Issa London where she holds the position of Chairwoman and is responsible for the brand's global expansion.
Issa was launched in 2006 and focuses on creating dresses to make women feel comfortable, glamorous and elegant with a motto of ‘Issa for all!’ Issa appeals to women worldwide, emphasising versatility with the ability to make a statement from day to night. ‘Our vision for Issa is for it to become a global lifestyle brand. We have big plans for the future,’ says Camilla.
Camilla was born in London and educated in Surrey. From the age of 16 and throughout her twenties Camilla worked for Harrods, the family business. Gaining experience across every department, she found fashion to be her first love and utilised her skills as a buyer for her sister’s brand Jasmine Di Milo. Camilla also acquired invaluable experience working for both British and American Vogue.
Alongside the family business Camilla also began visiting hospitals and hospices with her father in her early teens but really started to assume a more active role with the Al Fayed Charity Foundation in 2005 when, she became ambassador and patron of many of the charities she supports. As a trustee of the ACF Camilla has organized various events for specific causes and currently hosts an annual music and arts festival in Kent.
Camilla sits on the British Fashion Council advisory board, offering her time and expertise to further the profile of London Fashion Week and promote British Fashion.
